Visited the Mackwoods Labookelle Tea Factory which had a free guided tour around the factory premises. They also allowed photography inside the tea factory (while the other tea factory at Dambatenne didn't allow). At the entrance, it says that all visitors should be accompanied by a staff. However, I just walked inside alone and when the staff saw me, they didn't really bother about me and they just left me to wander alone inside! It seemed perfectly okay to them that I was just walking around their premises alone.

Mackwoods sign looking similar to Hollywood

We also visited the Ambewela Farms! It was a little confusing at first because I read online that the Ambewela Farm is open while the New Zealand Farm is closed. However, when we were on the bus, I met a staff from the Ambewela Farm who told me that the Ambewela Farm is closed to visitors while the New Zealand Farm is open! Trusted him (as he knows best since he works there) and so we headed to the New Zealand Farm! From Ambewela Train Station, we took a tuktuk for only 150 rupees to the New Zealand Farm where we got to see cows and goats.
It was my first time visiting such a farm (where the animals are kept indoors). I have seen farms where the animals are just roaming around but haven't really seen one that is like that before. It's nice to visit the different areas of the farms and to see how the whole area is being managed. We made it just in time to see the milking of the cows which takes place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. We also managed to see the cows grazing at 315 p.m. just before we left! :) Awesome timing :)

Got the Fresh Farm Milk from the restaurant and it was the BEST MILK I HAVE EVER DRANK IN MY LIFE! I'm not sure if it's the taste or due to psychological reasons hahaha. It tasted really fresh and good but maybe it's because I just saw the milking process earlier on so my mind is telling me how fresh and good it is! Definitely would recommend anyone who is going there to try this! For 75 rupees, it's really awesome to be drinking this cup of hot milk in the cold weather! :D I was so tempted to get another glass of it but didn't because I would be too full/bloated if I would to drink another cup.
