Observation train from Colombo to Badulla

Took the 0945 observation train from Colombo all the way to Badulla as we heard that the scenery along the train journey is good. And yes, it was really good! The train passed by the tea plantations along the way so we got really nice views from the top. However, as we took the train from Colombo all the way to Badulla, it got completely dark at about 645pm so from Ella to Badulla, it was pitch dark and we couldn't see anything outside the window.

The next day, we woke up early and took a bus from Badulla bus stationto Dunhinda falls. From the main road, it was about 1-2 km walk before we reached the waterfall. The waterfall is about 64m high and it was beautiful! :)

That's all we did in Badulla! There's nothing much to do in Badulla, but I just like this place somehow. It has a slower pace of life and the whole place just seems more "chill"compared to cities like Colombo and Kandy!
