Tuktuk around Unawatuna/Rumassala

Wai Han and I decided to get a Tuktuk to bring us to the Japanese Peace Pagoda as it is rather near (less than 10km) but inconvenient to get there on public bus as the bus would only stop on the main road. We're glad we got the tuktuk because it's a really long walk from the bus stop to the Japanese Peace Pagoda. If we took public bus, we probably would have to walk for about 30 minutes before reaching our destination?

We walked the entire stretch of the beach and got to Unawatuna Devol Devalaya at the end. Walked up and... the view from up there was awesome! :)

Some quiet time and place away from locals trying to sell us things.

We had pretty much explored all the places we wanted to see and it was still rather early. Hence, we decided to look for a cafe called Le Cafe Francais Bakery & Botique as it is ranked #2 on TripAdvisor Restaurants in Unawatuna! However, the address written is wrong which ended us being lost for about 30 minutes in the scorching sun. In the end, we got a tuktuk to bring us to the cafe!

Waihan got 2 cakes for her lunch but I didn't get any because I am trying to cut out excess sugar from my diet! I tried both the cakes that she bought though :P

Cheesecake brownie which was good!

After chilling at the cafe, we got back to Galle where we took a 3 hour bus ride directly back to Colombo! The bus ride wasn't as bad as I expected. I thought it would be really bumpy (since it wasn't going by the highway route). But it turned out to be really okay.
