I have actually visited Tainan many times (>5 times) and hence, I decided that I would just combine my photos from the different trips into 1 post.

Tainan is known to be the culinary center of Taiwan. There are a lot of different food to try in Tainan, and I've tried most of it as I had my local friend to recommend me! Don't forget to visit the Flower Night Market as well. It's really huge and there's just so much to do and eat!

Apart from food, Tainan is also the oldest city in Taiwan. The most popular area in Tainan is the Anping Distrist, where there are many different attractions that you can explore. This includes the Anping Old Fort 安平古堡, Anping Tree House 安平樹屋, Anping old town 安平老街 etc. There are also other attractions such as the Chihkan Towers 赤崁樓 and many more!

Birthday salt! There's a different salt for each date and you can buy the salt which comes in a keychain! (I bought it haha)

If you head further out to Cigu District, there is a Cigu Salt Mountain there. I liked this place because I though it was rather interesting to see a salt mountain. Some of my friends went there 1 week after I went, and I think they periodically "top-up" the salt by adding more salt to the mountain.

Another area that you can explore is called Beimen. They had some outdoor exhibits when I went there but I'm not sure if it is because there's an event going on or whether it is placed there thougout the year.

I also tried the famous ice cream shop in Tainan called Quan Wei Jia 蜷尾家. They have 2 flavours a day, and the flavours change everything! This is a really effective marketing technique that is used in Taiwan to entice customers to come back everyday to try out different flavors.
