First up was Rotorua Lake! Rotorua Lake is the second largest lake in New Zealand. I liked Taupo Lake more though! I think it's also because we had lunch by Taupo Lake yesterday, which really made the whole experience a lot nicer. I think being able to sit down and have a meal by the lake really allowed us to fully appreciate the scenery and enjoy simple pleasures in life.

After Rotorua Lake, we visited Kuirau Park. Kuirau Park has walking tracks that leads to numerous areas of vigorous geothermal activity. There are also safety fences around these areas so it's safe to walk around! It's really cool because you get to see like mud bubbling, steam emitting as well as sulphur gas? Haha, the bubbling mud was really cool. It reminds me of mud bath for beauty purposes? Haha, but this mud is at a super high temperature so... you definitely won't want to be in the "mud bath".

Next, we went to The Redwoods - Whakarewarewa Forest which is really my favourite place. We walked on one of the walking trails for around 1-2 hours and it was really really good. Inside, you would feel the trees towering above you and it feels like this whole place came out of a movie scene!

A short drive away from The Redwoods are the Tikitapu (Blue Lake) and Rotokakahi (Green Lake). Dropped by those places briefly but did not spend much time there.

We also visited the Okere Falls where we watched people do white water rafting. It certainly looked very very very fun and exhilirating haha.

Lastly, we went to Mount Maunganui which is a beach city in the Bay of Plenty. A short hike up the hill led us to the summit where we could get a view of the bay.
